About the Role: Business Relationship Trainee

The position is responsible for the hands-on implementation of program activities within assigned target areas and communities. The trainee will work to empower community members in compliance with the organization’s established policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

Community Mobilization: Create awareness of HIHEA (TZ)’s activities, and select, identify, and recruit potential members and groups in accordance with operational policy.
Group Management: Mobilize and form cohesive, sustainable member groups; attend their meetings and facilitate their growth.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government agencies and local NGOs, and represent HIHEA (TZ) in regional development committees and other community forums.
Monitoring & Evaluation: Assist in M&E activities, including data provision, documenting case studies, and sharing lessons learned.
Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate and timely daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual reports.
Relationship Building: Create and nurture effective working relationships with beneficiaries, local communities, partners, and government agencies.
Asset Management: Maintain the assigned HIHEA (TZ) assets, including a motorcycle and other equipment, in good working condition.

Job Specifications & Qualifications

A Degree in Adult Education & Community Development, Project Planning and Management, Social Work, Micro Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of working experience in community practice, social development, or social enterprises.
A strong, practical understanding of peri-rural development and financing.
A genuine passion and ability to work with marginalized rural and peri-urban communities.
A positive attitude, a high level of integrity, and commitment to being a good team player.
Excellent interpersonal, public relations, and community mobilization skills.
Computer literacy (knowledge of MS Office is an added advantage).
Must be self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
Crucially, one must be flexible to work in any region in Tanzania as needed by the organization.
Licensed and experienced motorbike riders are strongly encouraged to apply, as this is a key requirement for fieldwork.
