Information System Auditor at DCB Commercial Bank
DCB Commercial Bank Plc is a well-established retail and commercial bank in Tanzania, serving millions of customers through an extensive network of branches, agents, and ATMs. They are currently seeking a qualified and detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Information Systems Auditor.
This position is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong IT background and a passion for risk management and control. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the bank’s processes are secure, efficient, and aligned with its business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
As an Information System Auditor, you will be responsible for:
- Participating in opening meetings with clients to explain the audit scope and process.
- Developing a deep understanding of business processes and documenting them in flowcharts or narratives.
- Identifying and documenting inherent risks and controls within business processes.
- Assisting the ICT auditor in identifying risks and data analytics requirements.
- Performing audit tests and preparing working papers in line with professional standards.
- Proposing practical recommendations to address control weaknesses and improve efficiency.
- Assisting in preparing concise audit reports to communicate findings to management.
- Performing consulting services by participating in projects that introduce new processes or technologies.
Background Qualifications and Experience
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business with Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in internal audit.
- Professional Qualifications: Possession of professional qualifications such as CISA, CRISC, CEH, or CISM is a significant advantage.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, the ability to assess and evaluate risk, and experience in Data Analytics and the use of Teammate Audit Software are also added advantages.
