JOB TITLE: Production Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Rigid Pac
SECTION: Production
BUSINESS UNIT: GSM Beverages
REPORTS TO: Production Manager
1. KEY JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for implementing and supervising all production related modules and principles for a smooth running of the Rigid Packaging manufacturing processes. (Preforms, Caps etc.)
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and supervise daily production activities based on demand and stock levels.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance and Control teams to maintain product quality standards.
• Coordinate collection and usage of raw materials in liaison with the Stores department.
• Monitor production efficiency, yields, and waste to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Prepare and ensure timely submission of daily production reports.
• Enforce adherence to GMPs, safety standards, and company policies.
• Ensure proper maintenance of machines and coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive servicing.
• Supervise and motivate the production team to achieve performance targets.
• Identify staff training needs and support continuous skill development.
3. QUALIFICATIONS
• Diploma or Degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Production Management, Quality Management, or related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in preform manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in computer applications and production reporting systems.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
