Requirements for Qualification
To be eligible for the Skoll Scholarship, applicants must meet specific criteria focused on their entrepreneurial and social impact journey. You should:
- Have a minimum of three years of experience building and leading a social venture with demonstrated evidence of significant social impact.
- Show a deep understanding of the systemic roots of the social or environmental issues you aim to address.
- Have lived experience with the issue or have a long-term, meaningful engagement with it.
- Display self-awareness, humility, and a willingness to learn.
- Demonstrate a clear intention to pursue a long-term career aligned with systemic social or environmental impact.
- Articulate how the Oxford MBA and the Skoll community will help you achieve your professional and impact goals.
- Demonstrate a clear need for the scholarship based on your financial situation.
Application and Selection Process
The application process for the scholarship is tied directly to the MBA application.
- Submit a complete MBA application to the Saïd Business School.
- In the ‘Funding’ section of the application, you must also submit the Skoll Scholarship essay document.
- The MBA Admissions Team will first assess your application for acceptance into the MBA program.
- If you are accepted into the MBA program, your application will automatically be forwarded to the Skoll Scholarship Selection Committee for review.
- If you are shortlisted, you will be notified and invited to participate in a series of online interviews.
The selection process is rigorous and designed to find candidates who are truly aligned with the mission of the Skoll Centre. Final shortlisting is scheduled to take place in late March, with interviews to follow in April and May.
